The Year in Industry Programme: The Gateway to Real-World Engineering Experience
At Symmons Madge Associates, we believe in the power of hands-on experience. That's why we're proud to offer our Year in Industry Programme, a unique opportunity for engineering students to gain practical, real-world experience in their chosen field. As we have for the past 18 years of providing this programme, this year will see students from a variety of engineering disciplines placed into a 'sandwich year' placement with national companies.
Typically lasting for 48 weeks, these placements provide students with an immersive experience that goes beyond the classroom, and cover a wide range of engineering disciplines, such as: Architectural, Civil, Civil & Environmental, to Electrical & Electronic, Integrated, Mechanical, and Medical.
Currently, we have over a hundred active student placements for the 2018/2019 academic year, each one offering a unique opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting.
