The JCT 2016 Design and Build Contract (2 Days)

Our JCT Design & Build Contract course outlines the JCT family of contracts and comprises of the principles of Design & Build, carrying out and control of the works, design, payment, changes, injury damage and insurance and settlement of disputes within the Design & Build contract.

Overview:

This two-day course will provide a brief overview of the JCT 2016 family of contracts, but primarily focussing on the Design and Build Contract (DB16) and practical aspects of managing the contract.

Aims & Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Fully understand the structure and content of the JCT 2016 Design and Build Contract.
  • Understand the structure and more important clauses of the Design and Build Contract.
  • Appreciate the roles and responsibilities of the key parties. 
  • Properly run a JCT 2016 Design and Build Contract, and to deal with issues related to the contract.
