This is an introductory level course which places the function performed by construction estimators within the overall context of the tender process.
This course provides delegates with an appreciation and understanding of the importance of effective estimating practice and methodology. This will be coupled with an appreciation of the tendering process as a whole from the issuing of tender documents through to the submission of a competitive bid.
On completion of this course delegates will:
- Have a raised awareness and better understanding of the preparation of unit costs and prices and how the net cost of a tender is compiled
- Gain an appreciation of the function of the Board in reviewing and adjudicating upon a tender prior to its submission

The training session is run on an interactive basis and incorporates a number of group exercises in addition to elements of PowerPoint presentation.
